This is probably my favorite picture that I've taken through the years. It dates back to June of 2004, snapped in a garden at UConn with my cheapo Fujifilm 5 megapixel point and shoot. When people see it, some recognize the subject right away and other ask, "what is it?"
So you bet I was excited when I went to photograph the flowers in my yard on Sunday and found my irises in bloom.

That's a great shot. I have purple,white and yellow irises in bloom right now. I really like the pink one.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen an iris up so close, but it's beautiful.
