Kicking the habit

I drink way too much caffeine. Yesterday, I drank two liquids all day: Coke, Coke, and orange soda. Aren't we supposed to be drinking something like eight glasses of water per day?

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I am certainly addicted to Coca-Cola.

I try to quit, but every time I get that withdrawal headache I give in and buy a soda from the vending machine.

What kind of caffeine drinker are you?

I recently replaced Coke with water, iced tea and the very occasional sprite/ginger ale. If you actually drink all the eight glasses (or whatever it is) of water, you don't miss the caffeine so much (although you do miss the taste of the fructose, crushed coca leaves and carbonated sugar water).

Dt Dr Pepper drinker here, but I stop after two and before 3pm.

I have quit twice with both pregnancies and the best way was to cut back a little more for three days and lots of water.

Oh gosh Coffee... It's bad but then I tell myself it's okay because I don't use cream or sugar...

you are my kind of woman! :D ha.

I prefer coffee of some sorts in the morning.. but have been known to spring for a diet coke, sugar free red bull or green tea. I have to say, if I'm really tired... and need a big pick me up.. green tea works the best! It also has antioxidants in it .. but you still need to drink water with it.

I looovveee coffee and iced tea and milk tea...When I was younger, I drink a lot of Coke. I stopped drinking coke and other carbonated drinks because it was giving me stomach aches (too much acid in the tummy). Now, I can't drink coffee or iced tea or any tea...it was an order from my OB gyne to cut down on caffeine because of my situation...Sigh. I miss coffee...

It's all about the coffee for me...totally addicted, though when I can, I try to skip a day here and there. The darker, the better. The best is the little cups of Cuban cafesito from little huts in Hialeah. With one or two of those, I am good for a total houseclean, yard mow and a walk.

Now...if I could just figure out how to get that little hut to Nebraska.

I'm a Southerner, so tea is my bag. Did you know that some call sweet tea "Southern Wine"? Yup. Since becoming a diabetic though, un-sweetened tea and diet Cokes are my main drugs!

Coffee. I just stopped drinking it (again). I've probably not had a cup now for a week. I was getting headaches when not drinking it. Thankfully I can walk away from things like that.
