Meet Avery!

Yes, we've adopted a third rescue doggy. A puppy, no less. This is little 4 month old Avery. Right now he is in Florida but will be on his way to us in about three weeks. He is a small beagle mix and will not get very big. Avery was supposed to arrive at our home yesterday but the poor baby caught a puppy cold and had to stay put for a few more weeks so that he could rest up for the two-day drive up north.

Avery looks like a little Sammy and we think he will fit perfectly into our family. Sam thinks of himself as a little dog anyway, so now he will have someone "his own size" to play with. Jasmine will just be thankful to have someone who actually wants to play as much as she does.

Sean and I are adjusting to the thought of being new puppy parents. We've purchased puppy food and puppy treats, puppy leashes and puppy teething rings and puppy carriers. Avery already has his puppy crate set up downstairs in the dogs' room. We are ready for a puppy to arrive and all we need now is Avery. We keep telling Sammy and Jazzy that they will have a baby brother on July 12th. We are making arrangements for who will sit where on car rides, who will walk who when, and where everyone will sleep. We are totally prepared for the challenge of having THREE dogs. :)

But three more weeks feels like an eternity, and I can't wait to meet our new baby. Rescuing these three pups of ours has been the best experience of my life.

* All of these photos are taken from the rescue agency. If you'd like to adopt Avery's brother or any doggy that needs a good home, you can go to American Lab Rescue's website.

He is so cute! I bet you are dying waiting three weeks for him to come, but better than traveling while sick. I can't wait to here how all three play together. After all your cute videos and pictures, a third will provide even more entertainment :)

Cute doggie.... You guys are amazing. I love my one itty bitty little dog...but she's a lot of work. I can't imagine tripling that workload so I give you both huge doggie kudo's for doing it.
